The original watercolour painting was an exercise in speed.
On average these sketch paintings took me between 10-20mins each.
A CAUTIONARY TALE: A NOT so funny TRUE story!
In 2004 Cornwall Police attempted to prosecute me for these paintings! I was selling the originals of these watercolour paintings lawfully & legally (even declared to the tax man) on ebay, and complied with the then ebay restrictions on nudity. I showed some people my computer catalogue of these lawful paintings. One of these persons made a complaint to the police about these paintings. Devon & Cornwall police raided my home & seized my computer. It later turned out the person who complained had SERIOUS mental health problems, which the homophobic Cornwall police had exploited.
Devon & Cornwall police had to admit, both in magistrate’s court & in an Independent Police Complaints Commission enquiry that there were ‘NO ILLEGAL’ images!
However, by then I had attempted suicide as a direct result of the homophobic attitude & practises of the Cornwall police officers encountered. The police even failed to return the computer after forensics had established no criminal offence on my part. Fact established by the IPCC.
Devon & Cornwall Constabulary have absolute contempt for the European Human Rights Act Article 10 ‘Freedom of Expression’ (which includes art & definitely paintings!).
I have not painted since as I now suffer from panic attacks following the homophobic conduct of the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary.
Cornwall Police = be of no doubt, they really are a homophobic hate crime problem!

It really makes me sad that you haven't painted since that incident... You really haven't painted for seven years? Ack. x.x That's such a horrible thing for them to do to you... and not even for a just reason... I hope you can find a way to get past it and move to a better place and continue with your art. <3 It's very beautiful.
